As I take a study break to write this post, I truly do appreciate Pandora Radio.
I've always loved Estelle's radio station for her amazing british voice.
That woman makes me want to grab a hair brush and start singing.
Also, the brits that come along with her station gives me nostalgia of my summer in London.
Adele, Macy Gray, Amy Winehouse, Corrine Bailey Rae, and Marsha Ambrosious makes me more then thrilled that I have ears!
Solange's Radio is one of no other.
She has a sound that I can not describe.
I truly sit back and enjoy, with one sweet smile on my face.
Her style is emulated straight through her music.
Her song "Losing Me" introduced me to this artist named Solange.
One thing I love about her station is it versatility.
The songs of John Legend, Erykah Badu, Robin Thicke, and Kanye West make numerous appearances.
Simply amazing.
Mr. Common.
Nothing but true music and a mesmerizing voice.
Now Common is a poet and who doesn't love a poetic genius.
Common just makes me happy because his lyrics makes me read them like a page in a book.
And the way he describes a woman....Praise Sweet Jesus!
He gives hope out there for any woman who are so called "Done with these black men"
Every time I see that bald head, I do my happy dance.
Praise the parents that made that educated man.
You can hear and feel all the passion he puts into his music.
Just like Solange, Common's station is VERSATILE.
But one thing that I do love about his station is the TRUE hip hop artist, like The Roots and Mos Def.
The sounds of truth and realism of his station makes me:
1. Lay on my bed
2. Close me eyes
3. Place my hands over my head
4. And Groove
The appearances of Naughty by Nature, Snoop Dog, and Outkast keeps my head swaying; while my mind is stimulated.
